Real Madrid ‘preparing’ €50m offer for Newcastle star

Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a move for Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali, with reports suggesting the Spanish giants are ready to table an offer worth around €50 million.

The Italian international has caught the attention of several European clubs, but it’s Los Blancos who now appear most determined to bring him to the Santiago Bernabéu.

The reports indicate that Real Madrid view Tonali as the perfect addition to Xabi Alonso’s evolving midfield setup. With the recent departures of Toni Kroos and Luka Modrić, the club has been searching for a player who can offer balance, creativity, and leadership in the middle of the pitch.

Tonali’s intelligence on the ball, defensive awareness, and ability to control the tempo of a match make him an ideal fit for Real Madrid’s long-term plans.

Since joining Newcastle United, Tonali has adapted quickly to life in the Premier League and become a key figure in Eddie Howe’s side. His work ethic, passing range, and composure under pressure have earned him praise from teammates and fans alike.

Despite facing a challenging first few months due to suspension issues, he has shown glimpses of the quality that made him one of Italy’s most promising midfielders during his time at AC Milan.

Real Madrid’s interest comes as part of their ongoing strategy to rejuvenate their squad with younger talents who can shape the club’s future.

However, prising Tonali away from Newcastle is unlikely to be easy. Reports suggest that Newcastle have no intention of selling their star midfielder, especially after investing heavily in his transfer from AC Milan.

The Magpies are financially strong under their current ownership and will not be pressured into letting one of their most valuable assets leave on the cheap.

It is believed that Newcastle would only consider an offer well above €80 million before entertaining any negotiations. The club views Tonali as a central piece of their long-term project, someone who embodies the vision and ambition of Eddie Howe’s rebuilding process.

His influence in midfield and potential for further growth make him almost untouchable at this stage.

While Real Madrid may test Newcastle’s resolve with a formal offer, the Premier League side’s stance appears firm.

Unless a truly exceptional bid is made, Tonali is expected to remain on Tyneside and continue playing a vital role in the club’s pursuit of success both domestically and in Europe.
