PSG ‘ready to attack’ Newcastle United to land £55m ‘warrior’

Newcastle United continue to find themselves in the middle of constant transfer rumours, especially when it comes to their biggest stars.

It seems like no matter how well things are going on Tyneside, there’s always someone somewhere trying to stir up talk about players leaving.

For many Newcastle fans, it has almost become normal to see the media acting as if the club has no right to keep world-class talent.

Whenever a top player shines in black and white, stories start flying that one of the so-called “big six” or a European giant will soon swoop in to take them away.

The same old narrative appears every time Newcastle produces or signs a special player. It’s as if the media can’t accept the idea that Newcastle are building something strong enough to attract and keep elite footballers.

When Alexander Isak was linked with Arsenal, the tone from some outlets was almost insulting as if Arsenal had a natural right to him and Newcastle were just lucky to have borrowed his talent for a while.

The way the story was framed made it sound like Isak would obviously prefer a move to London, ignoring the fact that he’s thriving in the Premier League under Eddie Howe and has become a central figure at St James’ Park.

Now, it’s Sandro Tonali’s turn to be the target of endless rumours. Since the day he arrived, sections of the Italian media have refused to stop talking about his supposed “homesickness.”

They have been recycling the same story since before he even kicked a ball for Newcastle. Every few weeks, there’s another report claiming that he misses Italy and wants to return to Serie A, no matter how often the player himself insists he’s happy in England.

Recently, Tonali himself put those claims to rest, describing Newcastle as “home.” He’s settled, respected, and loved by the fans. His passion on the pitch shows that he has embraced the club’s culture completely.

Still, that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from spinning. Juventus have been repeatedly linked with bringing him back, yet even some Italian outlets don’t sound entirely convinced by their own reports.

Tutto Juve, for example, has now suggested that Paris Saint-Germain could be the ones to step in apparently claiming Tonali is “ready for a new adventure.” Where that idea comes from, no one seems to know.

The truth is simple: there’s no sign that Tonali wants to leave Newcastle. His performances, attitude, and words all point in one direction commitment.

Just last weekend, he was described by Sky Italia as a “warrior” for his display against Estonia, showing the same hunger and fight that fans have come to love since his arrival.

If anything, he looks more determined than ever to make a mark in the Premier League.

The Italian press might be obsessed with the idea that he’s struggling to settle, but they couldn’t be further from reality.

Tonali has already said he feels at home in the North East, and it shows in his connection with the supporters and his growing influence in midfield.

The constant stories about homesickness and transfers aren’t based on facts they’re built on the lazy assumption that Newcastle are just a stepping stone for bigger clubs.

That mindset is outdated. Newcastle United are no longer the club that simply develops stars for others to take. With the ambition, financial strength, and project now in place, players like Tonali and Isak represent the future, not temporary success stories.

The Italian media can keep writing their fiction, but the truth is right there for everyone to see, Tonali loves the Toon, and he’s here to stay.
