Newcastle United flat-out refuse to pay €45m – Tell club “nobody will pay” that

Newcastle United’s interest in Allan Elias is still alive, but the club have no intention of paying the price Palmeiras are now demanding.

Reports from Brazil say the midfielder will not be allowed to leave for anything under €45m, a figure that instantly puts the brakes on Newcastle’s pursuit.

According to ESPN, Palmeiras have made it clear to every club watching that Allan is off the market unless someone comes up with that money.

Newcastle respect the young midfielder’s growth and they understand why Palmeiras rate their academy products so highly, but they don’t believe the valuation is realistic. A source close to the club even said that “nobody will pay” the figure being quoted, and that includes Newcastle.

The 21-year-old remains a player the Magpies admire. They’ve followed him closely, and he’s still on their list of potential targets.

However, admiration alone won’t close a gap this wide. The price tag has created a barrier that Newcastle simply won’t cross, and for now, their interest stays passive rather than active.

Palmeiras are standing their ground. Earlier in the year, they rejected a €20m approach from Zenit, and they feel Allan’s recent performances more than justify the jump in valuation.

From their side, they see no reason to compromise if clubs continue to knock on the door. They believe they hold a top talent, and they’re acting like it.

Other teams have also been in contact with Allan’s entourage, showing there’s solid demand for the midfielder. But even with that interest, Newcastle’s position hasn’t changed.

They admire the player, they think he has potential, but they will not match a €45m fee they believe is far beyond the market reality for him.

Unless either side softens their stance, this transfer might be over before it ever truly began. For now, Allan remains at Palmeiras, and Newcastle move on with their plans still watching, still interested, but absolutely unwilling to be pushed into paying a price they don’t agree with.
