Newcastle chiefs given greenlight after submitting £42M for star over joining them after Kelly
Newcastle United’s 2023–24 season fell short of expectations after a stellar 2022–23 campaign that saw them finish in the Champions League and reach the League Cup final.

Despite his success in Italy, Tomori could be set for a return to England. Reports indicate that Newcastle has contacted Tomori’s representatives to gauge his interest in rejoining the Premier League.
Tomori, who earns £80,000 a week on a contract running until 2027, might be available for €50m (£42m), presenting Newcastle with a significant but potentially worthwhile investment.
Newcastle’s defensive line is a primary area for improvement, especially after releasing Paul Dummett and facing long-term injuries to Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles.
Tomori, with 35 appearances for Milan last season, could be the solid addition Newcastle needs. His move could also be influenced by his limited opportunities at the international level since moving to Italy.
