Kieran Trippier has made the decision to remain at Newcastle United for the rest of the season, despite late efforts from Galatasaray to persuade him to move to Turkey.

According to Mick Brown, a former chief scout for Manchester United and Sunderland with strong industry connections, the 34-year-old right-back believes he still has an important role to play at St.
