The 22-year-old forward was the subject of serious interest from German club Eintracht Frankfurt during the summer transfer window, and it appears that their desire to sign him has not faded.
Frankfurt is believed to be preparing a renewed effort to bring the talented player to the Bundesliga when the market reopens, setting the stage for another round of complex negotiations.
During the summer, the German side made a significant push to secure Osula’s services, proposing a deal structured as an initial loan with an option to make the transfer permanent.
Their offer was reportedly substantial, consisting of a €5 million fee for the loan period, coupled with a future purchase option valued at €25 million.
However, Newcastle United’s management flatly rejected the proposal, indicating that they were not prepared to let their young asset go on those terms. The Magpies’ firm stance made it clear that they hold Osula in high regard and would only consider a sale if their own valuation was met.
Despite Newcastle’s refusal, the player himself appears to have his heart set on the move. Reports suggest that Osula and Eintracht Frankfurt had already reached a personal agreement, signaling his enthusiasm for a switch to German football.
This lingering desire from the player’s side adds a crucial dimension to the situation, as his willingness to leave could place pressure on Newcastle to reconsider their position in the upcoming transfer window.
